Arizona, New Mexico and Fort Worth

Here we are at a truck stop in Kingman, AZ. It was cheap, as in free, but it comes with a price, believe me. It was LOUD! Fortunately, we have a generator and ran the AC all night which helped to drown out some of the noise. No sleeping in here. We were out of there early. But, we had places to be, people to see. We haven't seen David and Lauren in a month, so we had plans to meet them at a coffee shop in Flagstaff. They were traveling up from Sedona, about 40 miles South of Flagstaff, and we were heading due East 220 miles. We arrived at the coffee shop within 5 minutes of each other. That was amazing!
Here we are! It was so good to see them. We stayed in this coffee shop for 2 hours. We drove from there to Tucumcari, NM, where we stopped at another truck stop. This one was quiet and much nicer.

We left Tucumcari, NM and headed for Fort Worth, TX to spend a night with my parents. We arrived here around 5 pm. It was 95 degrees and a little bit humid. Phillip, Amanda and kids came over and we went to dinner. Here's a picture of my dad and mom with Cottie and Jerzee, the two pups.

Phillip and Amanda were all decked out in Fourth of July colors! We're leaving here in the morning and heading for Natchez, MS. It is 400 miles from here. Until next time....

  1. Awww I am glad someone got a pic of us in 4ofJy colors! And to think Phil was going to go rock the boat and not wear them like the rest of his family! Too bad Parker changed into this lovely t-shirt. He looked cuter at meeting this morning. :(
